MeRrY ChRiStMaS

Before Christmas we went to The Olsen family Christmas party down in Mount Pleasant.  It was all fun and games until Santa showed up.  Let's just say, Baylor is not a fan.    

It was No, No, No, not Ho, Ho, Ho and being the cruel mom that I am, I had to have proof for later years.   I had to snap a few pics before rescuing B from the big bad man in the red suit.  His little body got all tense and he was trying to get away...

And then he just started sobbing and don't worry, after this one, I ran to his rescue :)

Little did he know, he dressed up like that guy on Christmas Eve.  He made quite a cute little Santa.  Here he is stealing ornaments off the tree- our favorite game... he takes one off and I chase after him, get the ornament, and put it back on the tree.  My family's tradition is to go to a movie on Christmas Eve.  Russ had to work :(  so Baylor and I went with everybody to see Christmas Carol.  Good movie, but a little creepy for kids.  I was a little worried the first 10 minutes, but luckily he needed a nap and went to sleep for the rest of it.

This is Christmas morning.  Baylor hauled butt into the front room and cruised towards his presents.  And just as I hoped he first chose to go to.......

The pull string Woody!!!  

I love Toy Story and have a small hunch that he will love it too.  Not that I will have anything to do with it.

Then he tested out his lion.  If you push the nose, it sings and he is already a pro.  And lucky for us, it has an 'off' button.

His stocking was full of fun little toys.  Man, Santa is good.

And he got a sweet little basketball hoop.  He's pretty much already following in Deron William's footsteps ;)

Then we were off to Grandma Julie and Grandpa Bill's house.  (My parents)  My mom gives all the kids pajamas on Christmas Eve so they were all happy to show them off.  We were all spoiled again here and we all had tons of fun.  Baylor got tons of fun toys and clothes.

The boys got sports pajamas this year.  We loved Cole's Jazz jammies and Baylor's BYU jammies, as for Braxton's U of U gear... 

but we love him anyway :)

Then we headed to Grandma Debi and Grandpa Russ' house (Russ' parents) where we were spoiled once again.  B got this fun alphabet train, which thankfully also has an 'off' button.  

Debi gave Baylor a real pair of UGG boots.  They are so dang cute.  His cousin Brooklyn got a pink pair.  Too fun.

We had a fabulous day and made tons of memories for Baylor's first Christmas.  Though he may not remember it, we always will.  I hope you all had the merriest of Christmases and that you have a hap hap happy NEW YEAR!  Love you all!

It's about time

It has officially been forever since I posted last.  I was sick for soooo long.  After the stupid swine flu I got pneumonia, which really kicked my trash and I got a cracked rib to go with it because I was coughing so hard.  Who does that seriously... am I 90?  Anyhow, I am finally feeling better and I am so thankful.  Here are a few of the things that we've been up to.  

My mom took Baylor to Build-a-Bear.  He "chose" to make a dog who he named Puppy.  Literally.  I know you're thinking yeah right but he really did.  We sat down to name it at the computer and I asked him "what do you want to name him?" and he looked right at me and said "puppy"- it was plain as day, dead serious.   It was hilarious.  Up to that point he had never said it, but he does all the time now.  So he made puppy and dressed him in some Christmas jammies.  Good times.

ThAnKsGiViNg was great.   So much to be thankful for.

This is me waiting in line for our first West Jordan In-N-Out Burgers!!!  Quite the process, but so worth the wait.  Some might say it is overrated.  Russ and I would disagree.  We enjoyed every last fry and bite of cheeseburger.  Deeeelish.  I might also add that it is only a mile from our house.   I can pretty much taste it when I walk outside... not really, but I've been waiting for months for it to open :)

HEAVEN in West Jordan

My Grandma Zoma has the best Christmas tradition.  She has given me (and half the world population) an ornament every year since I was born.  It started as one ornament, then it became two, and now we get a BAG of ornaments and I LOVE IT!!!  Our tree is so great and it's fun to get them out every year and remember the memories from each one.  Baylor got to join in the fun this year.  He got his own bag!  I ended up buying him his own little tree.   He was so intrigued by all the little boxes I couldn't get him to look at me for ANYTHING.  

It was almost a mistake having him help me decorate his tree because up to that point, he had left our big tree alone.  After helping me, he realized what fun little things were hanging there and now he likes to go and "visit" his ornaments.

This is B's cute little tree.  We have 3 trees this year.  We're pretty darn festive at the Olsen house :)  It helps when your Grandma and Mom love ornaments... and even better love giving them to you!!!

We got to go to the Jazz game last week with Russ' parents.  Tons of fun and Baylor liked it.  He even slept through the 4th quarter!  I learned I can make a lot more noise after he goes to bed at night.  The Jazz wore their green throw back jerseys that night.

And last but not least, this is my car on the drive to work.  Yes, it does say ZERO degrees and it felt like it.  It was sooooo cold all week.  So.....

We bundle up and keep on smiling.
