the Painterazzi

The "Painterazzi" strikes again!  Baylor had his first photo shoot on Monday at my sister Michelle's house.  She started doing photography about a year ago.  Unfortunately she just had her arm operated on last week and she can't use her right hand.  Instead, she got everything ready and my mom, sis Leanne, and I took snapped the shots.  We had so much fun.  Baylor also cooperated very well.  He is such a good baby.  These are just two of the pics with his first Nikes.  The other pictures are SO CUTE but I'm using them for his announcement so I didn't want to post them.  I can't wait for everyone to see them!

BED REST...WHAT!

So the theme for the week is... BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU WISH FOR!!!  At my doctor appointment on Wednesday night, my doctor put me on bed rest!  Due to high blood pressure at my last 2 appointments (this week's was far worse) and a huge increase in water retention, no more work for me.  For those of you who know me well, I have a HARD time sitting still or letting people wait on me.  It's taking everything I have to let people help me!   Plus, I didn't have everything exactly how I wanted it at school, so luckily I have Mekensy to help me!  I finally finished my sub plans and emailed them so now I can finally breathe!

My off-track time falls during my 6 weeks off, so I technically only get to miss 2 and a half weeks of work.  Plus I have to use my sick days for those anyway.  I thought I was getting ripped off, and kept saying I wanted another week or 2.  Well, now I got it.  I just have to sit here and go crazy because I can't do anything or go anywhere!!!

Saying Goodbye

On New Year's Eve I was able to go and say goodbye to my Grandpa Forrest.  He passed away a few hours later and was finally reunited with my Grandma after 14 years.  It's impossible to tell someone exactly how much you love them and what they mean to you, but I'm so grateful I had the opportunity to try.  As hard as it is, I'm so glad he doesn't have to suffer anymore.  New Year's Eve was one of my grandparents favorite holidays.  I think my Grandma was finally ready to have her husband there to celebrate with.  He was truly one of the greatest people I have ever known and we will all miss him dearly.  Until we meet again, I love you Grandpa.

Happy New Year!

We were able to celebrate New Year's Eve up at the Stein Eriksen Lodge with Russ' family.  Even though I'm officially HUGE it was still fun.  We were able to visit with Stein and his wife and they were so excited about the baby.  We got our picture with them and they both wanted to touch the belly!  People love to get up close and personal when you're pregnant... why?!

Russ, Trevor, and Brian

The pastry chef built this awesome Empire State Building out of tiny gingerbread squares!  It was so neat.  I just want to know how long it took!
Bronx even got to celebrate with us.  He fit perfect into this hat.  He is such a funny puppy.

The Grizzwalds

I had to put a picture up of the fabulous Christmas lights Russ put on our house.  I was so impressed that he did the edges and the extra row where the roof changes.  He surprised me with them back in November when I was gone to a baby shower.  Go Clark... I mean Russ.

Sugar Plum Fairies

On Dec. 19 I went to Allie and Aspen's dance review.  It was so fun to see them shake it.  They're too darn cute.   Dance reviews always brings back great memories... and as an added bonus, it was at Taylorsville, so it was fun to be inside the old high school.
