Whoa Nelly

So the past few weeks Baylor has been figuring out a few new tricks.  He is getting big WAY too fast.  I know people always say that, but it's true!!!  He will be 7 months old this Wednesday and it honestly has flown by.  Tonight he was crawling around, which he just really figured the arms out a few days ago.  Baylor, I was already impressed with that.  You can stop now... then little do I know, the little rascal starts climbing up the couch and bam- he's standing up.  AAAAHHH!  The paranoid polly in me was screaming out- don't fall, don't fall, DON'T FALL.  So as he went to do it again (and I of course grabbed the camera), I made Russ go stand guard so that if he did fall, he could catch him.  I don't know how I'm going to handle this walking business, etc, because my anxiety starts flaring and I want to follow him around like a magnet.  I guess it's time for me to take a chill pill and let him do his thing... deep breath :)

Oh look, I figured out something new...

Oh my Mom, watch me and get an ulcer...

I DID IT!

Too tricky for his own britches

The "Yeehaw"

One of the highlights of every summer is the Ute Stampede in Nephi!!!  Of course, this year was fun like always.  (truthfully, it was way better as a kid but I still love it...)  I get to see a lot of my family from both sides and usually a lot of my friends.   I didn't get to see very many this year which was disappointing.  Russ likes it because he gets to dust off his "ute stampede hat" and wear it along with the tightest jeans he can find in his closet and wear them to the rodeo.

Every Saturday of the stampede my Grandma Zoma has a get together for all the girls (all the pics are on my mom's camera though).  This year was pajamas and thin pancakes.  It was a blast.

We also entered the Mammoth parade which is on Friday for my Grandpa's Sinclair business.  He is the Grandpa that passed away this past year and we did a cool float in memory of him.  They drove his big green gas truck along with the new gas truck and all the grandkids and great-grandkids were on the float throwing candy and popsicles.  My sister Michelle, cousin Janelle and I, RAN the entire parade and gave out balloons and pens.  It was really fun and also very neat because SO many people stood up along the parade route as we passed and yelled things like "we miss him"  and "we love Forrest" and even put their hands over their hearts.

All in all it was a kickin classic time and now I get to look forward to next year when the second weekend in July comes and it's time for the next annual UtE sTaMpEde!  Yeeeehaw!
