So GREAT!

Literally. This is Echo Young and not only is she GrEaT, she's Baylor's GREAT-GREAT GRANDMA! How cool is that?! This is a 5 generations pic: Russ, Baylor, Grandma Debi, Great Great Grandma Echo, and Great aunt Linda. WOW.
She is an absolutely charming lady. She is still so witty and fun to talk to.
The coolest part, she is 98! Yes, NINETY-EIGHT! But she told us, "I just tell people I was born in 1911, then I don't have to tell them my age!"

This is aunt Kathy (Debi's sister). It's always fun to see her and get to catch up.
B having a very serious conversation with GGG Young
What a doll.
We had such a great time in Idaho visiting with family, getting to listen to Russ' cousin's mission farewell talk, and most of all getting to visit with Grandma Young. She is an amazing woman and we love getting to see her!

Baby CRUZ

He's here!!! My adorable nephew Cruz was born today at 1:15 p.m. He weighed 8.25 pounds and was 21 inches long. (and I must add that my guess on his weight beforehand was 8.2 lbs., thank you very much :) He is a blondie just like his dad and sister.
Sweet little Aspen got a cold yesterday, so she had to wear a mask at the hospital.
What a cute family
The proud big sister and brother
The proud parents
And of course, the VERY PROUD AUNT
I love him so much already. I can't wait for Baylor to meet him. The hospital would only let siblings and children in. Baylor has got a BeSt FrIeNd for LiFe :)
Welcome to the world baby Cruz!

Monkey see, Monkey do

So I know it's not that thrilling to see other people's children do things... BUT I am fascinated by each and every thing that Baylor does. I guess that's just what mom's do. I've been working with him on pointing out noses, so my mom has worked on it with him as well. Today when I got to my mom's to pick up B, he had a few new tricks up his sleeve. It just made me laugh so I had to share...
This is showing us where Grandpa Bill's nose is.
He won't show you his own nose, but is more than happy to point out other's and maybe even stick his finger up it :)
And this is showing his teeth. cHoMp cHoMp cHoMp
(He got his 9th tooth and is cutting more, poor thing)
And lastly, this is his fantastic tongue. How can you not giggle when your baby shows you their tongue???

I LOVE being his MOM

Off-track FuN

We had such a good time while I was off-track. We did lots of fun things... these are few of them :)

Baylor and I went to the Living Planet Aquarium with my mom, Michelle, and Aspen. Baylor was so intrigued by everything. He would get as close to the glass as possible and follow everything. I love seeing him get so excited about things.
The South America- Brazil room
The Utah room
I went to FOUR showers! This is my good friend Callie who lives in Maui!!! Her baby shower was especially fun because I never get to see her. I also went to 2 baby showers for my awesome sees Michelle, and a bridal shower for my friend Amanda aka Mandz.
And of course, we had to go to the ZOO! We love seeing all the animals and Aspen and I thought we better go check on baby Zuri :) Luckily it was a pretty nice day and she was out.
B was crackin' me up looking at the giraffes. I tried to turn him so I could take a picture and he wouldn't stop looking at them. Looks like he loves them as much as me...
It was time for Baylor's 12 month check-up. He weighed 21.5 pounds, which is only the 22%. BUT he started life in the 5% and has averaged the 22% this whole year so it wasn't a surprise. His length is 29.92 in. which is the 46% so he's pretty average in height.
We also went to a Jazz game with all of Russ' family. We got to sit by Brian, Britnie, and Brooklyn which was fun. The kids looked so cute in their Jazz gear. And even though the stupid Lakers beat us, we still had a BlAsT!
Gooooooo JaZz
And the BEST part of all, was getting to spend 3 whole weeks with my little man. There is really nothing better than being with him all the time. He makes me smile and laugh all day long.

Who Dat

The Superbowl isn't just a game and food for my family, it's THE SUPERBOWL!!!  It ranks right up there with Christmas and Thanksgiving... We look forward to it all season long.

WE are all die-hard football fans.

My mom got us all these awesome shirts to wear.  Even Baylor got a shirt... she cut the logo out and sewed it onto an outfit.

I LOVE MY FAMILY

And we know how to have fun.  This picture just gives me smiles... with the exception that my husband was hanging my precious child upside down...
And words cannot express how much I love my Baby B.
It's pretty much a guarantee that he will love football as well :)
I was a little torn this superbowl because I like both teams.  Surprisingly enough, Russ and I don't have an NFL team.  I like Austin Collie, Peyton Manning, and the Colts.  But then there was Reggie Bush, Drew Brees, and the Saints.  We all decided to cheer for the Saints... should have bet some money... but thought they deserved their turn in the spotlight.  Their fans deserved it too.
The Cousins.
It was so cute how Baylor kept laying his head on Braxton.
Love them all
And this is my beautiful sees Michelle who is about to give me another fabulous nephew.  I am so excited, I can hardly stand it.  She is going to be induced on the 24th if he doesn't come sooner.  And cute little Aspen is finally going to be a big sister, and Brax is going to get a brother.
Woo Woo for being an aunt and even more for family.

It's started

It's safe to say that Baylor is VERY ACTIVE.  Now that he walks everywhere, he has become quite the little explorer or shall I say snooper.  We put cupboard locks on the doors with the garbage can and cleaning supplies, but I didn't want to put them everywhere.  He can unload this one in about 8 seconds flat.  This was the result of me cleaning up our breakfast.  At least he hasn't figured out how to open drawers yet...

How long does this stage last?!!!

Still love him to pieces.
