my "sweetest heart"

Here are the latest pics of our little man. Words can't describe how much I love this little guy. He has the sweetest personality. I often tell him that he's my "sweetest heart". The other day when I was leaving, he stood by the door with my mom and said "goodbye my sweetest heart!" I just melted. He is also at such a fun stage. Every stage is fun and different, but the 2 and a half stage is comedy hour. Not only does he say the sweetest things, but he says the funniest things. He has us all laughing ALL the time. He's quite the clever little rascal. If you can't tell, I love him to pieces...

Thanks a ton to my sister Michelle for taking these pics too! Her photography blog is on my list, meeshka photography. If you're ever bored, you should check it out :)

SNUGGIE LOVE

As I have mentioned before, Baylor has a beloved "snuggie." He had so many blankets as a baby, but he chose the little one with the dinosaurs that my mom gave him. It came in a set with a little outfit and hat. Of course he wore the outfit when he was a few months old and then they were retired, but the snuggie became a staple. After its 2+ years of use, his poor snuggie is getting WORN out. My mom has tried stitching up the holes, but the poor thing is falling apart.

Last Spring, I was walking down the hall at school and saw a friend/former parent of 2 of my favorite students and she was pushing her own little guy in a stroller. When I looked down at him, he was wearing the notorious dinosaur outfit that Baylor had (that came in the set with the snuggie). When I saw it, I excitedly told her that Baylor had the same outfit and then realized.. oh my gosh- do you have the blanket that came with it?! Well, the outfit was one her sister had borrowed her so she didn't have the blanket, but she said she would mention it to her.

I had forgot all about it and a few weeks ago got an email from my friend letting me know that her sister had another baby and when going through totes, found the BLANKET! They wondered if I would like it... um, YES! So her sister sent it to us all the way from Newport Beach :)

When it arrived in the mail, we let B pull it out of the envelope and he just smiled, ran to the couch, and tested it out. Russ and I were laughing at how his snuggie USED to look. Apparently a lot of love will wear a snuggie out :)

The NEW and the ORIGINAL
crazy!
Granted, it isn't HIS snuggie and he doesn't haul it around like his beloved, but he does like it and will sleep with it. I'm just so glad that we have a backup and that when the sad day comes that he snuggie is just string... we will have something similar :)

BEAR LAKE

Back in July, we were able to go to Bear Lake with my family. It was crazy to see how high the lake is this year. The beach we normally go to was beyond covered with water, but luckily there were a few beaches that were still open.
We had a BLAST!

We stayed at the KOA and this year we tried these little cabins. They were TINY inside and we shared one with my parents. Russ and I got to sleep on bunk beds hahaha :) It was nice and cozy, but FUN. Baylor loved this little swing on the porch.

We had our annual "volcano"

And the best part, was relaxing with family for a few days.

Food, Fun, and Fireworks

I forgot to add this later in the post... a preview of our 4th of July weekend :)
Baylor and Russ on the alpine slide!

I'm only a month late in posting this, but we had a great Independence Day so I thought I would share. We kicked off the weekend with the Stadium of Fire. It was awesome. 2 words for you: Brad Paisley :) He put on a great show. I love all of his lyrics. Baylor even fell asleep during his singing and stayed asleep for all of the fireworks!!! Otherwise, I'm afraid it would have been a repeat of the fireworks show from last year, aka- me and Baylor hiding under the stadium seats so he didn't have to watch/HEAR. This year, it was perfect for all of us. Baylor got to sleep and I got to watch.

Then we headed up to the lodge for a relaxing weekend with the Olsen clan.
Baylor got to play with his cousin Brooklyn. He loves to play with her. They had a ball in the big tub.
Bath time is always party time for B
On the actual 4th, we all went to Park City Mountain resort. All the adults, minus me and my mother-in-law, got the all access pass and rode the zip line, roller coaster, and alpine slide. Good times for me... oh wait :) Baylor, Debi, Brooklyn, and I passed the time with a little putt putt and a snow cone. I just realized I forgot to post the pic of Baylor and Russ on the alpine slide. I will put it at the top- my bad. Baylor just kept saying he was lightning mcqueen... KA CHOW!!!

We headed back to the lodge for a little swimming

And the annual BBQ. I look forward to it every year.
Baylor fell asleep so we didn't get to take any pics on the balcony like usual, but we had a great time.
We made it back down to Salt Lake in time to visit with all my family at my sister's house. Baylor wasn't interested in watching the fireworks so we just headed home :( I hope that changes next year!

M*I*C*K*E*Y M*O*U*S*E

Here is the rest of our fun trip to Orlando! We had so much fun seeing all of our (especially Baylor's) favorite people!!! Although he got nervous when we found his "friends" he still gave them a quick "five," a few small giggles, and even told Donald "oh, pickle juice!"

EPCOT!
There was a flower and garden festival while we were there. It was amazing to see all of the characters created out of flowers!
Baylor and I waited in plenty of lines to meet characters by ourselves, while everyone rode the "big rides." Nothing better than time with my little guy!

We love NEMO!
B cruisin' with Dad
ANIMAL KINGDOM!
All the characters were dressed in their safari gear. It was so fun!
The Kiliminjaro Safari was AMAZING! You get to ride in a big jeep and see lots of African animals in the "wild!" No cages, no wires, just roaming! There were even lions. And of course, my favs!
Amazing what this little smile does to my heart

DISNEY'S HOLLYWOOD STUDIOS!
It was SO HOT and HUMID that we couldn't get enough liquid! These frozen lemonades were lifesavers! Baylor developed a new habit. He would ask for "a sip please" and then CHUG until it was gone. He also brought that little habit home with him :)
Of course he needed some new Disney World ears...

Some more favorite friends

We had an amazing trip.
We made so many memories as a family and had a blast with the Olsen clan.
I've also decided that Disneyland/World is just plain addicting. I'm ready to go back :)
