Halloween

Halloween was absolutely SPOOKtacular!  We seemed to just keep celebrating.  I got to take Baylor up to Russ' work to trick-or-treat, we went to the annual Halloween dinner at my mom and dad's house, Russ and I went to a party, and then of course, actual Halloween finally arrived!

TrIcK-Or-TrEaT!!!

Baylor trying Jello for the first time and LOVIN it!!!
Me and the best Momma ever!
My mom does such a great job every year with her Halloween dinner.  She goes all out and everyone loves it!
The FAM
For our "ADULT" party, we went as Flash and Batgirl
This is Russ and his crazy friend Riley.  They didn't cause any trouble in college :)
Baylor loved seeing all of Russ' coworkers.
The view from Goldman Sachs
This is "The Chocolate Factory" They have a costume contest and this team went ALL OUT!  They made Wonka's factory and all dressed up like Oompa Loompas!  They did a dance, had a chocolate fountain, they even made a chocolate river.  Needless to say, the won :)

They really decorate the office.  It was really cool

We had a great holiday!  Hope you did too!!!

ZoO AdVeNtUrEs!

One of the things I wanted to do while I was off-track, was take Baylor to see the baby elephant at the zoo!  I've seen her on the news and one of my students brought a picture to school to show me and I had to see her in person.  She is AdOrAbLe!!!  Her name is Zuri and Baylor and I LoVe her :)  It was a nice day and probably one of the last before the darn snow, so I'm glad we made it.  Baylor was so intrigued by the animals.  He just stared at them.  We had a BlAsT!

She is the cutest little thing!
Here's a picture so you can see B's little teeth!  I just love when he smiles and laughs.  His little personality is starting to show.  He laughs when people laugh now.  He'll just start giggling at things.  It's so fun!
We were (yes Baylor told me ;) excited to see the baby giraffe again.  He was brand new when we saw him in August, so it was fun to see him again.  Giraffes are my favorite... I know Baylor will love them too.  Elephants have found their way into my heart now too though
The cute little guy poked his head up to get in our picture!
Momma Jewels came to the zoo with us.  She's the best, we love having her come with us!
Baylor just loves his Grandma Julie
As we walked up the final hill, Baylor zonked out.  What a gReAt day!

Swine Flu Shmoo

My mom emailed me this funny picture- only fitting since I have the SWINE FLU.  I can't believe I have it.  I started feeling sick on Tuesday and by Wednesday, Russ had to take me to the doctor because all my symptoms matched the ones they were talking about on the news.  I feel like a train hit me.  Today I have a bad fever too.  No fun and I can't be around Baylor so I miss him like crazy.  Luckily he is having a little vacation at my mom's.   I hope this crap goes away soon.

Little Monkey

Here's my little monkey in his Halloween costume!  I LoVe HaLlOwEeN!  This year is even better because I get to enjoy it with Baylor.  We call him "monkey" so we thought it was perfect to choose this costume for his fIrSt Halloween.

I love Fall.  I love the leaves changing, football, the weather cooling off, wearing sweaters, I love the fun decorations, and I LOVE Halloween.  I hope you are all enjoying the fall as well!

It's practically impossible to get him to sit still for a picture anymore.  Hence, we got a lot of pictures crawling- I think it adds to the costume though :)

Pure Deliciousness

Pure deliciousness has got to be what goes through Baylor's mind as he eats one of his treasured biter biscuits.  My first experience with these lovely treats was with my nephew Cole who is now 9 years old.  Please believe I have never forgot the name though...BiTeR BiScUiTs or HuGe MeSs as I like to call them :)  I was baby sitting Cole and my sister had "left" them for me and told me I could give him one.  (haha Leanne)  Little did I know I was going to have to hose down the whole kitchen, Cole, and myself when he was done.  I learned that day that biter biscuits = baths, but that babies LoVe them.

I was excited to give one to Baylor and see how much he would enjoy it.  From the pictures you can tell he was equally fond of them.  I just know to give one to him right before bath time.  YuMmY! And speaking of biting... Baylor is just about to get his SiXtH tooth!  Crazy!

True Blue

Here are a few pictures from our awesome Dallas trip!  We had the best time in the short 2 days that we were there.  Of course, the best part of our trip was the game.  Cowboys stadium is even bigger in person that in looks on t.v.  The jumbo-tron alone is mind boggling!  We all lost our voices screaming for our cougars (Russ especially).  It was such a cool experience, I'm so glad we were able to go!

No, we did not make these signs, BUT they were so classic that we had to get our pictures with them.  "Every Sooners Phreakin' Nightmare" Love it!!!
This is my cousin Riley.  He's the punter for BYU and a darn good one at that.  I got some really cool pictures of him with my super duper zoom lens.  This was him on the jumbo-tron.  The HD on that sucker was so good, you could see EVERYTHING.
Sha-bam
The crazy crowd.  Of the 76,000 people that were there, the sea of blue made up one little corner.  We held our own in the cheering department though.  Oklahoma had their band, cannons (hence the smoke in the pic), about 68,000 fans, and a covered wagon pulled by horses... no worries though, because we BEAT THEM!!!
This is me flipping off the stadium for my dad.  He HATES the Cowboys so I had to take this for him.  I was raised believing that the Cowboys = crap.  We definitely don't cheer for "the stars" at the Painter house.
Russ and I with #19 Matt Marshall.  He is the little brother of Russ' childhood best friend.  We went to Dallas with his mom, Diana.
My brother-in-law Trevor all painted up.  The Olsen boys are about as die hard as it gets.  Please believe I painted a 99 on my face for my cousin.  I did this in the rearview mirror.  As we are walking into the stadium Russ asks me (laughing) why I painted PP on my face... um DUH!  Luckily Diana had a wet wipe and I got it off in a hurry.  My BAD.
"Saddle up partner"  Posing at Wild Bill's country store
The night we arrived we were SO hungry and couldn't find anywhere to eat.  We ended up at this bar.  There was a Cowboys game on so the place was full of crazy, loud, drunk people.  We laughed, HARD, at some of them and had some surprisingly yummy food.  I would eat there again any day.
Our beautiful Grand Marquis rental car.  Russ reserved an Impala.  The lovely Avis worker must have enjoyed pulling a fast one on us, because we ended up with this.  She made it sound like the Impalas were all gone so we were fine with this beauty.  Then we get to the lot to drive it out and passed about 10 nice and new Impalas.  Thanks a lot lady.
And lastly, the day of the game we were able to go and see where President Kennedy was shot.  It had a strange feeling about it, but I'm glad I was able to go there.  Russ and Trevor had to go out into the street and get a picture where the second shot hit.
Me on the infamous grassy knoll.  We heard all the conspiracy theories and I'm a believer.  The government's stories seem pretty darn shady to me.
The School Book Depository where Lee Harvey Oswald shot from.  Second window down, on the right.

This man was there the day of the assassination.  He was 13 years old.  He told us his story and of course I got my picture with him.  He's pointing to himself in the picture.  Crazy stuff.
Now you've pretty much experienced our trip to Dallas.  It was hard for me to be away from Baylor for 2 whole days and nights.  I missed him like crazy.  It was good however, for me to get a little break.  One other highlight... the whole plane singing the fight song as we flew home.   They let a kid sing on the overhead system and everyone sang along.  It was hilarious.  Rah rah rah, rah rah rah, Goooooooo COUGARS!

My Mowgli

My little MOWGLI... Baylor decided early on that he wasn't going to crawl on the hardwood at my mom's or the tile at our house.  For the first couple weeks, he just crawled to the edge of the carpet/wood or tile and then sat there.  Now he's figure out that if he wants on- he just has to do the bear-cub crawl.  It reminds me so much of Mowgli from the Jungle Book.  He always has me smiling.  I also must add that I don't blame him!  Have you crawled on something that hard lately?... it hurts!

This is a bird's eye view of Baylor... asleep.  How in the heck does a person fall asleep bent over??  You've got me, but don't worry- we always move him onto his back (after a picture of course :)
He was lovin' this little puppy at my mom's house.  After he thoroughly checked him out, he gave it a BIG FAT KISS.  That's my little lover!
Kisses for the puppy
Now, sMiLe!!!  And have a WoNdErFuL day!
