How we roll...

There's nothing like a good laugh and Baylor definitely gives me plenty of those. The other day he was determined to put his snow boots on. He got the first one on and then...
He almost got the second one on...
Truthfully he did, it was just backwards :)
I was laughing so hard as I attempted to follow him around and take pictures. I still don't know how he was even walking, but somehow he did.
He eventually ditched the backwards boot and opted for the one boot look. He even ate lunch that way.
One booted bliss
Love him. to pieces.
And that is how we here at the Olsen house do it. We roll with no pants and a backwards boot. Cheers :)

Little Jimmer

In honor of the COUGARS and their SWEET SIXTEEN game tomorrow...
I thought I would post about our own "Little Jimmer" :)
When Santa brought B his hoop for Christmas, there were a few people who questioned Santa's choice for the bigger hoop, instead of the toddler hoop. I began to worry that maybe Santa was off his rocker. But then, Baylor did non other than rise to the occasion. He figured out how to shoot it high and he's become quite the little baller.

He LOVES coming home to "shoot the hoop" If he misses he says "I missed it, try again" among other things. It's so darn cute. He LOVES basketball, the Jazz, and of course the Cougars. Russ calls him "Little Jimmer." One day Russ asked if he should stand over him like Jimmer's brother did to make Baylor better and I kindly replied... NO. He's only 2 Russ. Maybe in a few years ;)

Intense Jimmer
Intense Little Jimmer
I will end this post with a big congratulations to the Cougars for making it to the sweet sixteen, a big good luck for tomorrow, and one last song for all of you
TEACH ME HOW TO JIMMER, TEACH ME, TEACH ME HOW TO JIMMER...
You've officially been Jimmered.

Look who we got to meet...
C.J. MILES!!!!
For anyone who doesn't know... C.J. plays for the JAZZ!
When I saw that C.J. was going to be at a model home in Herriman (that I pass everyday on my way to work) I wanted to take Baylor to meet him. C.J. thought B was so cute! Baylor thought he was going to see some hoops, but he was satisfied when they got him this ball to hold :)
My class is doing a project right now, after reading a book called "Flat Stanley." They all get to mail a Stanley to a family member or friend. I took a "Stanley" for C.J. to sign and had him take a picture for my class. They were beyond excited today.
It was fun to meet C.J. and tell him how much we LOVE the JAZZ!
And it was his birthday, so we got to wish him a Happy Birthday. Even Baylor told him "Happy Birt-day Party," he loves birthdays!
Thanks for the fun C.J.!

LUCKY

Happy St. Patrick's Day!!!
Sunday we went to my parents' for their annual St. Patty's day dinner and treasure hunt. We ate everything green imaginable as well as the traditional corned beef and cabbage. YUMMY.
Then the kids got to go on a treasure hunt. It took them all over the house with rhyming clues. Baylor wasn't quite as quick as the big kids but he thought it was fun chasing after them.
Their last clue took them to the dryer, where they opened up to find a treasure chest full of FUN!
All the items had little clover tags with their names on them. B got lots of fun GREEN things like a car, glitter ball, sippy cup, shirt, and treats.
He put his new hot rod to use right away!
And he thought his new shirt with Mickey and a rainbow on it was absolutely awesome.
Thanks Grandma JuJu for such a fun night and tradition!!!
Can you tell which child is TWO here???
Oh wait, it's mine and he DID NOT want to be in this picture hahaha
I think I'm pretty LUCKY myself to have such a sweet little wild thing in my life. Here are pics from the last 3 St. Patrick's Days :)

1st
2 months old
This one is also from his first St. Patty's but it made him look so much older!
2nd
14 months old
3rd
2 years, 2 months
I think his shirt applies to me though...
LUCKY ME! I get to be his mom :)

SNOW much fun

On Monday after work, I got to my mom's to pick up Baylor with a big list of "to dos" running through my head. The first thing Baylor says to me is "Mom, we go home... make a snowman... with carrots... for dada." How do you say no to a request like that. So my list of things to do was pushed aside, for some fun in the snow! I bought Baylor these snow clothes at the beginning of winter and sadly enough, we have never used them. He thought it was so much fun. I wish I would have taken him out sooner.
He loved picking it up and watching if fall off his gloves

We built our snowman and sadly we didn't have a carrot for his nose. We did however have an orange pepper and B thought it was perfect.

In Baylor's words... TA DA!

A sunDANCE with the hubby

A few weeks ago Russ and I got a little alone time. We were able to go to 2 Sundance premieres and to the 2011 Freestyle Ski Championships.
Sundance was AWESOME. Not gonna lie, I love celebrities. Because the movies we went to were premieres, all the stars were there. The first movie was Cedar Rapids which was a comedy. Seriously funny stuff. A few of the actors included, Ed Helms (the Hangover), Anne Heche, and John C. Reilly (Talladega Nights). hahahahaha- that was me laughing.

And for the second movie, my sisters got to come with us. The movies didn't start until 9:30 so they were late nights, but SO worth it! We were all starving when we got up there, but luckily they were selling pizza in the lobby. Russ and Leanne went out to get us some for us and when they came back, they weren't holding anything. Then Leanne whipped open her purse... voila. They were selling it, but not letting people bring it into the theater. LAME. So they did what any sensible person would do and snuck it in. Good times.
The second movie was Margin Call, about the 2008 financial crisis. Russ felt like he was at work the whole time lol. This cast was packed with great celebs. Penn Badgley (a gossip girl fav) Demi Moore with hubby Ashton, Kevin Spacey, the creepy albino guy from Da Vinci code (also in a Knight's Tale) etc.......
HEAVEN.

And afterwards we were about to take some pics when a worker saw us and offered to take us down to the "red carpet" so we could get one where the stars do :D He must have been feeling REALLY nice, and believe me I was REALLY grateful.

Then a few weekends later Russ and I got away for a little skiing and one of his favorite events of the year, the World Freestyle Championships at Deer Valley. Russ taught me to ski the year we got married (2007). The following year I was preggo with B and last year it just didn't happen. So I was pleasantly surprised when I could still do it. Everyone kept telling me it's just like riding a bike... NOT. I was never "riding a bike" good at skiing, but it only took a few runs to be somewhat comfortable.
The things you do for the people you love :)
And don't get me wrong I had TONS of fun!
The first night we were able to watch the aerials and the second night was moguls. It's always fun to see olympic athletes at their finest. You can't really tell, but that little dot is a person doing mad flips and spins in the air.
The gold medal champion!!!
Or Russ just being Russ :)
If only we would have had someone to take the picture, I could have joined him.

B + Mom = FUN

I've been off track for the past 2 weeks and Baylor and I have had so much fun together. One day we went to the library with my sister Leanne and her kids Allie and Cole. Baylor was in book heaven. He LOVES to read and will usually sit there as long as you'll keep going! They have a bunch of love sacs and a bin of books that just stay at the library. He would only bring one book back at a time so after every book he would have to get up and go over to pick another one. Pretty sure that was half the fun. We read and read and loved every minute of it :)

After the library we all went to Chuck-E-Cheese and met up with my mom, sister Michelle, and her 2 youngest kids. We had pizza and played games. B was traumatized when "Chuck-E" came out and walked around. I'm hoping that phase is gone by the time we go to Florida. Or maybe the fact that it will be his beloved mouse will make it better. Nonetheless, he DIDN'T like this one :)
He loved the games and his cousins were more than happy to help him play.

TICKETS!
His favorite game by far was the bowling.
I thought this pic showed his cute little profile.
You can just call him King Pin
And yes, my kid is the one who climbs up the skeeball machine and instead of getting mad at him, I take a picture :)
Gotta love a day of fun!
